These days almost anyone can start recording music at home. There are only five things that I consider absolutely necessary to make high quality recording and mixing music in your own studio ‘home and running. ”
-  A good computer
Your computer will be the basis of your studio, it is important to a computer that can handle the task (it can be quite taxing to accomplish all these modern audio programs.)
You need a computer with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM to get (more is better.) I also recommend to avoid Vista-based computer (my Vista experience has been a nightmare.)
- Audio Interface
They are getting cheaper every year. I remember in 2001, it was difficult to get a decent audio interface for less than $ 750 each. Now you can for U.S. $ 200.
It is a very important part of your studio, because that what between your instruments and microphones, and your computer. If you plan to buy (or have) a separate preamp, you must ensure that you are an audio interface with preamp (if you plan to make a recording sound that is.)
- A condenser microphone
A condenser microphone recording quality for vocals and acoustic guitars is essential. Like the other articles are on this list, they are much cheaper during this decade.
- Monitors
It is important to your music with a response “flat” if you make your mix can be heard. You do not want to leave speakers while “good”. They want all the fault monitors that are in your combination, you can fix them can reveal.
- Recording Software
There are a variety of different software programs available, most of them have free demos so you can try and see what works best for you.
